Cultivation with passion and experience

Part of our cultivation is ensuring the ideal conditions for snack peppers and pointed peppers. Just as important is the passion that we put into cultivating the tastiest peppers. We know exactly what is involved to ensure the right balance between taste and quality – and every detail counts.

The season

The cultivation season in the Netherlands begins in December when we sow the first crop for the coming season. After four months of hanging strings, tying plants, topping, and turning, we harvest the first peppers in the Netherlands in March. The harvest then continues until the beginning of December.

With the Vitapep snack pepper, we are able to cultivate consistent quality all year round. In order to achieve this we apply two sowing dates for our crop in the Netherlands, and then move to cultivation in our heated greenhouses in Portugal for the winter season. To complement production, we work with a fixed group of growers in Spain who cultivate on our behalf in the winter.
